It is a dreary, rainy day here at Totem Hall, which means that really I have nothing better to do than to roll up my sleeves and tackles loads upon loads of paperwork.
I find it so strange how much paper gets pushed about in this electronic age of ours. For some reason, I remember promises made by the powers to be that things would be different. No matter, invoices must be sorted, taxes filed, forms filled, balances balanced.
Of course, when all this shuffling and filing and crumpling get to be too much, I can always tuck in for a nice winter’s nap.
Thank you for lighting up my day today, I really am smiling from ear to ear.
Slightly put out however that you have been putting stroppy cockerels and the like before me! I am in awe of the bourbon and pearls picture, it is headed to my side bar.
cheers big ears!

I have no idea why this went under this post, other than my idiocy.
What’s that fur ball on the bed? Or do you and the missus want to remain shtum abut that?

We have been married too long to remain schtum about anything, or, for that matter, to have cause for schtum! The fur ball on the bed is a hedgehog like creature, which is a long running family joke that dates pre-children, and comes from playing too many buzzed games of Balderdash, as in “Haar: a small hedgehog like creature found only in the foothills of Bavaria”. As opposed, of course, to a cold sea mist or fog off the North Sea…

And one more thing… the top photograph, is that on your property?
Could weep with envy.

Miss Tabitha
I just checked, and, yep, so far, all my photos are from Totem Hall. The top photograph, the header, is an old millstone, which belonged to my wife’s granduncle, and that I brought down to our part of the world after his estate settled. We do not run a gristmill and so we planted it as yard art. That was such a fun project and now that I think about it, with photos, a potential post. You are so sweet to weep for envy over my lifestyle; I do the same for yours, which I consider off the chain fabulous. I guess we should both consider ourselves remarkably blessed…
