That looks like the matahari of flowers – I snip and put it in a vase and then the next morning it’s taken over type of flower. Sooo stunning!! Is it a wild flower then?

No, I think not. My bet is that my moms in law planted it, though when I have no idea. Now I get that I’m not the most observant fellow in the whole wide world, but we built our place seven years ago and you would think even a poor schlep like me would have noticed. Personally, no matter how it got here, I think its appearance is a wonderful way to start the summer party season, even though yesterday evening all the guests would rather look at that beauty than listen to one of my stories…

My Dear, Dear Mistress
Did I write French 78? Good Lord, I must have had high school on my mind, or one too many 75’s. I sub cognac for the gin, but no matter whether you’re a gin boy or a cognac boy; it sure finds a way to go down easy. Or, as I saw online, “My, what big guns you have!”
Cheers!

You can mix a French 75 as well?..There is no end to your talents. No one up here seems to have heard of them. Or perhaps I am going to the wrong establishments…
